Insurance Coverage

Under the Affordable Care Act, women’s preventive health care, including comprehensive lactation support and counseling by a trained provider, is covered with no cost sharing (no deductible, no copay) for new health plans.  For most insurance policies, this came into effect August of 2012.  Some insurance policies have been "grandfathered in," and will not comply with these regulations until the policy is renewed. Please check with your insurance carrier before your visit to verify your benefits and to be sure we are in network for your particular plan.

Aetna and Banner Aetna:

We are preferred providers for Aetna, and can bill directly for lactation consultations for most Aetna and Banner Aetna subscribers.

Cigna PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and United Healthcare PPO:

Subscribers with these plans can have up to 6 lactation consultations covered at 100% through our partnership with Lactation Network. To qualify, please complete their intake form here: https://go.lactationnetwork.com/ArizonaBreastfeedingCenter. Lactation Network will email you and us back ASAP with details to move forward.

For other insurance providers, we will provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
